about me
Hello and thank you for taking your time to visit my site. I'm Mia, a cat lover, avid knitter, writer and photographer. I was born and raised in Greensboro and its surrounding suburbs, but moved to Western North Carolina when I was 13 and consider the mountains my true home.
A lot of people describe me as an "old-soul," which I can't seem to object to. I'm oddly obsessed with my cat, Bear, and I love to knit, crochet, write, read, and enjoy the finer things in life.
I was born in a family of artists and creatively-inclined people, so I have naturally found love with art as well. I've had a camera in my hand since I was old enough to walk. I grew up with a mother who was always taking pictures of me and my sister, so the image of my mother that I hold in my mind is always one with a camera being held in front of it.
As I got older, I played around with photography in my own different ways, starting with my first (film) camera at the age of eight. I eventually graduated to my Canon Rebel T5 when I graduated high school in 2015 and I've never looked back.
Just as my mother captured my family's memories permanently with her camera, I'd like to do the same for you. One picture can say a thousand words, but I'd like to give you moments that speak to your heart and soul as well.
about my photography
I am a natural light photographer, working preferably outdoors and in nature. I aim to capture the moments in your life, not the stiff poses. I want your emotions to speak through the photograph itself; I enjoy capturing your unfiltered moments so that you can look back on them and feel everything that you felt during your session.
